Janice W. Yager PhD ‘82, MPH ’72

Dr. Yager is enjoying travel and retirement with her family in Oakland’s upper Rockridge neighborhood after an accomplished research and management career. She held academic appointments conducting research at the University of California, Berkeley, the Academy of Finland, and the School of Medicine, University of New Mexico. She served as environmental and occupational health Research Program Manager in the Environment Division, Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI), Palo Alto, CA for a number of years. She was principal consultant with Environ International in Emeryville, CA and with her own consulting firm and was elected to office in national professional organizations including the Environmental Mutagen and Genomics Society (EMGS) and others. She is well-published in the scientific literature and was appointed to numerous national and international scientific advisory committees including those of the US National Academy of Sciences, US EPA, US FDA, CDC-ATSDR, ACGIH, the United Nations Food & Agriculture Organization and the World Health Organization.
